    Landline phone transfer?

    Hello guys,

    I need some advice here.

As we have landline for broadband via the Post Office. We do have a old ex-BT which we can use on the phone, but it has to be disconnected most of the time otherwise it messes the router up etc.

Is there a way to redirect the line to a old mobile phone so that rings when someone phones the landline and saving us from disconnecting the router to use the old phone to see who rang etc? Please advise.

Only if the POTS line (your hardwired landline) has call forwarding capabilities. You could enable call forwarding to your mobile. Of course, You would then have to disable call forwarding when you wanted the POTS line to ring. Check with your carrier.
