It makes a big difference. If you order the Deadly Sin, I think you will see, it's 50/50.

yea that ratio makes a big difference.
I may have mentioned it earlier in the thread, but I'll repost it.

VG - This gives the juice a sweetness and will produces lots of big thick clouds. Its a thick liquid, and by itself provides very little to no throat hit. Very smooth vape.
PG - This is what gives you the throat hit and carries most of the flavors. Very thin, but doesn't really produce much vapor at all. It can be too harsh to some people by itself.

Combining the 2 is how most E-juices are made. You just have to find what you like.

I like 50/50 blends myself. Decent throat hit, but smooth. Right in the middle, you get the best of both.

As mentioned, most of Volcanos are high in PG. I want to say its 70PG/30VG but may be more like 80/20. They do have some good flavors, but you may find some to be harsh. they are on the high PG side of things, that much I know. And there's alot of vapers out there that like that.

After you've been vaping a while and experience different blends, you'll instantly know when a juice is using high PG. Especially if you vape a lot of 50/50 or higher VG blends. Hard to explain but you just know its high on the PG side from taste and texture alone..

Also, although the mix will impact the strength of the throat hit, or hashness, the flavor itself can have a small impact. Aand, the Nicotine level will add some throat hit too.
So if we compare the exact same juice (flavor/blend) being used, at 24mg vs say 18mg, the 24 will have a slighty heavier throat hit.

I'd say 18 is a great place to start. You can vape a bit more if you need to. But, if you still get those Nic cravings, just move up to 24 for a bit and try to work back down gradually.

I have lost track of this.

What is a PG/VG ratio. No idea what pg or vg mean.

An Ejuice is made of a combination of 4 liquids.
    1) Nicotine
    2) PG (Propelyne Glycol)
    3) VG (Vegetable Glycerin)
    4) Flavor Concentrate

The Nicotine and Flavor Concentrates are typically in a PG Base, so they count as PG.
So technically, you only have the 2, PG and VG.

The PG/VG ratio would be the total percentage of each that making up the juice.

They are simply mediums to carry the Nicotine and the flavors PG id Propylene Glycerin and VG is Vegetable Glycol. But, they have effects on taste throat hit and mouth hit. Wishmaster can give the technical jargon if he will. I've already told you more than I know, but it makes a big difference in taste.

Thanks, I thought you mentioned this before, I didn't pay much attention to it though.

    Thanks for reposting it.

That's a good article, thanks for the link.

And I like the point about flavors .. "Just because you really enjoy coffee, doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll enjoy vaping coffee flavors."

This sis so true. I'm a heavy coffee drinker and love it, yet every coffee flavor I've tried has been blah. Same with Cherry. Haven't found one I really like yet. Working on mixing my own though.
And licorice, I hate but good as a vape.

At any count thats got very good info.
I learned the hard way (by mixing my own juices) that its not all equal. taste wise a bad PG/VG blend gives a wierd ... I don't know how to put it but starchy taste to everything. bad nic adds a peppery taste for example. My flavors were just blah. Ranging from hardly any taste to just horrid.

I started using Wizard Labs to get my stuff and thier Nic, PG, VG is very clean. Huge difference.
    1st batch was wonderful too.

Of course Im talking DIY but if a Vendor is using bad stuff, I could see the same stuff happening there too.

    EDIT:
Just got my Russian 91% I think it looks pretty good :)
    Any Vapers?-1.jpg

It's identical to the Kayfun with 2 minor differences I've noticed so far.
    1) The 510 connection is adjustable. On the kayfun you can't adjust it without making the postive post on the build deck loose. On the Russian that shaft is in 2 pieces. On the bottom you can adjust the screw to raise or lower the 510 connection for a snug fit on any mod if needed. I had to lengthen it a tad for the Provari because it wasn't making contact and not firing out of the box.
This is usually not an issue. The main reason is if you want to tank to fit flush with the mod.

    2) Airflow adjustment is on the side, at the bottom instead of on the bottom like the Kayfun. So you can adjust the airflow without removing it from the mod. It also allow for a slightly airier draw than a Kayfun will. Although I like mine tighter so set it to match the Kayfun.

Otherwise they are just alike. Great build quality and vape/flavor pretty much identical.
The airflow isnt really a issue for me as I though the Kayfun was dead on perfect anyway, since Im a mouth to lung hitter. But, the adjustable 510 is really nice. So, this may be my new favorite RTA.

Has everyone given up on this thread? I hope it keeps going, there is some good info here. I finally got my MVP2, and so far like it much better. It seems the variable voltage makes a big difference, to me anyway. To some, it probably wouldn't matter.

Sounds like you're making progress Steve, good on you. I may end up with one of those myself but for now I'm doing good on the inferno.

Still no cigarettes, 10 days now. Just got my order from volcano, the chocolate isn't too bad. Still waiting on the deadly sin to get here.

I haven't forgot about this thread Steve, I'm in it for the long haul now.
