Wow priming these coils by covering the air hole/s and puffing is really making them last a long time :)
I use two mods, rotating back and forth and the coils last longer too I always prime them real good, I really hate a burnt hit

Yep that is what kills them I'm finding out,
I prime before every hit it's paying off because I can basically keep the settings low too :)
3.4 & 8.0 is working out well not very far from the default 3.3 & 6.0 for the itaste.

Which tank is that? I got in a pair of Eleaf Melo tanks for the pair of 50w iSticks and the spotlight on the tanks is..... Need a pair of channel lock pliers in order to turn the AFC in either direction! Unlike what you see typically on Kanger and Aspire tanks the Melo has a lock pin that sticks up but not above the arc shaped slot where one air hole is located and simply pushes a lot more air while sadly suffering on the flavor end at the lowest being a single hole instead of two or three with the 2nd and 3rd holes on the opposite side.

They wouldn't handle the wattage quite the way the Atlantis does which still comes back what ejuice you throw in the tank! The Melo would be the first step into sub ohming for the new vaper however. The Atlantis is suited best for the seasoned vaper since while not super cool at the smallest opening being a single hole or slot at each setting the vapor doesn't get hot. Being turned up too high for a particular flavor or an ejuice thar doesn't flow into the coil fast enough to keep things wet explains a lot of the hot bite if the coil is still good.

Just think three more days here for the 2nd anniversay!

It wasn't that bad or hard to accomplish! ya ya ya ra ra ra "You can do it if you tryyyy...!!!"

Nautilus is really liking priming between hits but even the inferno with two small holes likes it too but covering the air holes is optional on it.
Congrats 2 years will be cool indeed

    6 months today for me!
Congrats Derek, I knew you could do it.
The next six months will go much quicker and soon you will celebrate one year.
Thanks Bob! I'm pretty sure the next 6 will be cheaper too, now that I have what works I stocked up on juice and coils.

It is good you have quit cigarettes, but how will you quit vaping? It may not be as bad, but it certainly can't be good for you.

    Actually it's quite different Bill,
Not quite as easy and more of a pain in the ass to vape with all of the cleanup/ coils-juice/ charging..
Cig's are easy so the habit is very addictive

But yes it's the next step lowering the nic levels and even how often you'd vape more or less like how long between smoking a real sig, 1 hour 2-3...
It's all incremental and that is a bit easier but you have to gauge that and limit it eventually or yea your just replacing a habit

I hear you there! I'm well out of the woods at this however never to return to smoke! Actually for several years I had been looking for info on smokeless tobacco and eventually only running into brief appearances of the term "electronic cigarette" when looking for something I could use around non smokers.

While having had tried both cigar and pipe smoking the main reason I continued as fell backward into smoking after once being 8months free was menthol smoke not just smoke used as a means of allergy control(pollen, dust, certain molds, etc.) having been a suffer since about 10yrs. old! 50 years later I finally have a working solution without the need for smoke or nicotine since nicotine was never the issue other then the habit developed from smoking and drinking and smoking and the morning cup of coffee, etc. cycle which now has been long broken.

The important thing to remember is that in order to remove the urges entirely you first have to be at the stage where "You Want To Quit!" completely. By the time I was on the last carton I already knew then the time had come but it still took a full two years to get into the best suited hardwares for vaping.

Some have quit totally once they felt that all the old urges were gone. That in itself shows that people don't necessarily have to vape in order to quit. But vaping is the best alternative tool to assist in seeing that happen. I've known numbers of people who never even saw an ecig when they simply quit on their own.

Depending on the types of set ups you are working with it can plain and simple with a cig look alike or get as complicated as rebuilding everything with the RDAs, RBAs, RTAs, etc. not to mention the DIYers who brew their own mixes. For many they soon find that how much nicotine in the mix doesn't make a bit of difference once they realize the only effect is mainly on flavor and somewhat on vapor production and not even noticeable when suddenly going from 24mg to 0%.

The change comes from dropping the tobacco experience bloated with nicotine enhancers to vaping in general with or without. Try suddenly vaping several flavors for a few weeks and then going back to some with nic and "Surprise" you'll be noticing the change in.... flavor. And that was something presented to me by a former chain smoker(4 packs a day) when trying with and without before I had quit two months later and after getting the first pair of VV eGo batteries.

After first hearing that I put it to the test ordering 0% flavors and comparing them against the 18mg and couldn't tell the difference other then the effect on flavors. By itself nicotine is far from the Crack type addiction it has been sensationalized a bit too much over the years by the media and no more addictive then caffeine is in various coffees and teas. The hand to mouth habit is the cycle to break for the most part. Will Power, Determination to set the Goal, and establishing the Mind Set to make it happen is the basic formula.

    Nighthawk,

I have that with my melo tank too. Very hard adjusting it. One day when I removed it is seemed to loosen up. Now it's tight again. Have you seen anything on removing the pin? I wonder if that would help.
