I had a bump in the road and smoked again for a couple weeks. I had a medical issue and couldn't walk, had to work from home, and ran out of juice and the cigs were available(my wife smokes)

Healed up now, bought some more juice and I'm back to vaping

It's amazing how easy it was to fall back in to old ways of smoking. Have to keep my discipline right again

When first thinking about the time that would come to quit I knew I would need to get far enough along to prevent that from happening. Been there before where I quit cold turkey for 8 months on a dime and still picked it up again! This time it can't happen any longer however. The recent improvements in vaping gear as well as having now been 100% smoke free for over 2 1/2yrs. as far as a regular habit is DOA! I go hours at a time and not even pick up a mod or battery with tank on it and not miss that one bit showing how far removed any possible draw to tobacco could be even if out for a few days!

Will power and mind set to break a nasty habit and the determination to ignore any subtle urges for a smoke are what will keep you smoke free. Vaping is simply a much better substitute for the smoke part of the equation!

Having come down over the years from being a 3 pack a day person and then having quit cold turkey or simply went without for periods of time I made the decision once into vaping I would reach a point where that could never happen as far as going backwards! When trying out a new tank as well as having tried out several mods once I like what I see I make to get a second for spare when recharging the other or with tanks can try them on different mods.

I never rely on simply only one mod if the mod is any good while I most likely will only have one of the latest Innokin iTaste MVP 3.0 Pro 60w mods. I just bought the third 50w iStick when the pre-order info came out for the Pro model and may have skipped the iStick if the other was already out to have a second for that instead. iStick 50w with 4400mah battery vs MVP 3.0 Pro 60w with 4500mah battery but stands taller and a little wider as opposed to the compact size of the first.

As you can see the investment in the last 2 1/2yrs. has worked out quite well in preventing any return to smoke! The thought or inklings to got to have just one more is now long gone! At present I am now two full years 100% smoke free! I plan to keep it that way indefinitely with that already having been the goal set back in late 2012!

Well since everyone has been rather busy lately? I had to bump the thread a little with a pair of articles that you may be interested in looking over due to the topics they cover..
Lawmaker says anti-tobacco agency may be breaking law by opposing vaping

    and the other...
    More smokers switching to 'Vaping"

The eye catching part of that one is something I can actually agree with for the most part in some type of standardization as far as safety concerns like requiring ingredients on labeling since some are prone to allergies either to PG or some flavorings. Then there are more reports of cheapo clone batteries going "BBOOMMM..." on people the media loves to chew up!

In the first-of-its-kind survey of adult smokers in Malaysia, regional consumer advocacy group factasia.org has found that 83 per cent of smokers see e-cigarettes as a “positive alternative” to tobacco products.

Even more – 87 percent – would consider switching to e-cigarettes “if they were legal, met quality and safety standards, and were conveniently available”.

I've now been 100% free for a full 2yrs. having only seen 4 loose packs at the end of June 2013 when someone close got seriously ill as well as earlier in May after the initial go totally without for a full month following the New Year res deadline of 3/30/13 which had seen the end of the last full carton! By then I was already! down to only 3 packs a week where the upgrade of out cig look alikes to the firs Vamo in January followed by eGo-C Twist VV batteries in a starter kit lead onto gradually getting into better tanks!

With the sub ohm tanks out at this time and the higher wattage mods as well as improvements in compact box mods like iSticks $25-$30 for a good tank and right in the range of $40-$60 for a max price will put you into a good 30-50w even 60-65w mod! In fact the new iStick 40w with temp control now being seen on 2015 mods is available for only $30!

The important thing about these newer products is not simply watts or how much some new tanks will run at but how the vaping experience will go from long puffs to get little vapor to feeling equivalent in some ways to how it felt being a moderate to heavy smoker. The experience will tend to grow on you more so over a lot of the older CE2-CE4 stuff! And that doesn't just imply cloud making but getting more out of the gear when you put the right stuff as far as e-liquids in!
