Almost certainly - but I have access to other printers anyhow and just keep the HP around because I'm loathe to throw a perfectly good printer out the door.

I have an HP Officejet 6500 and I HATE the thing. It never works. All of the buttons on the front wont even do anything if I press any of them. It never communicates with my wireless and now it's refusing to print or scan.
I can't stand it & want a new printer/scanner combo between $100-$150...

I am using a HP all in one printer which is working fine in XP. In windows 7 with too much difficulty I installed driver and the software coming with the pack and the windows 7 is identifying it , yet the scanning / printing software not working even after updates from HP.
The XP driver for this was pretty good for a typical cumbersome driver from HP. The Vista/W7 driver works minimally and the control panels look great but:
1. Normal vs. Fastdraft print selection results in terrible low density quality.
2. Can't change the default printer selection.
