Windows 7 Professional 64bit

I sure like it.

All I have added to 10 are my browser and my file manager. Nothing else.

Using it's security software and not even using my firewall.

I just wish I had more time to play with it.

W8 is a Turd. 10 still has something about it, like a turd polish I don't like. Kind of like knowing yeah I have to go to work knowing there's welfare addicts attached to my taxes.

While I don't fully agree with your assessment of Win 10 (currently, my only objections with Win 10 are cosmetic—too flat and plain looking—and no significant enough improvements over Win 7 to make me want to upgrade), I love the way you put it. You do have a way with words!

Seriously, I do not understand why MS is doing what they are doing. Does their survival depend on how many people they get to run 10? Are they just being draconian because they can be? There's something obviously going on behind the scenes, be it because of potential data gathering revenue or...
Windows 10 Upgrade Notification: No upgrade ready message
Since Windows 10 was announced that it will be free for Windows 7 and 8.1 users, that got me hyped up. There are many things I've found about Windows 10 that makes me want to have it such as DirectX 12 and Windows Aero (one of the reasons why I love Windows 7). I signed up to the Windows Insider...

Windows 7 Anytime Upgrade with non-upgrade Ultimate license?
I'm about to buy a new laptop from Costco with Win 7 Home Premium. On my old (now smashed) laptop I have a Win 7 Ultimate install. Can I just use the Ultimate serial key to do the Anytime Upgrade on the new machine? I keep reading that I need to buy an "upgrade key." Thanks
