    New smartphone

Am about to buy on a plan a new smart phone and would like to know if the Samsung S5 is better than the Samsung S4? - already have the Samsung Galaxy Ace but it is not quite the goods I feel.
Am not into Apple stuff in any way shape or form so not interested:)

I'm on my second LG phone (Google Nexus 4). I have found them really reliable, good signal in and out with good battery life. I haven't had a Samsung for several years.

Both my wife and I have updated from the S4 to the S5 and have found them to be excellent.

Well never had anything apart from Samsungs and I haven't had much trouble so I might go the S5 if the Telstra plan is good enough.
My reason in part is because my old phone is on a cheap plan and Lynne my partner has the S4 and pays under half my bill and has a ton more stuff on it.

    Thanks for the replies folks:)

S5 is good feature-wise and also good hardware.

Thanks everyone I bought the S5 on a really good deal from the national provider - a bundle that gives me 2.5GB data per month on the phone and 100GB on my landline broadband - double what I was getting and free phone calls basically except the mobile to landline and vice versa.
The device itself is very addictive in seeing what it can do too

So far so good but I do rely on Lynne to help me work it out as I am a pretty basic person and wandering around the apps and stuff is a magical mystery tour

    John,

Don't forget security, this is what I had my wife use on her nexus: https://play.google.com/store apps | org.malwarebytes.antimalware

Feature list and Specs at the bottom of this page right before the YouTube Video: https://www.malwarebytes.org/mobile/ Click on the Learn More Button for 497KB PDF (2 pages).

If you'd prefer something different; some are free like mbam, some for a price: https://play.google.com/store/search | security apps
