I struggled to install Win 7 Pro x64 about a year ago. I thought XP Pro was fine. I'm now glad I moved.
That said, I use a lot of 'legacy' software in compatibility mode, things that do what I want like PSE 6, Acrobat 8, and Office 2000. I use ZTreeWin many times a day.

i work with huge avi movie files and have trouble with running out of c drive disk space
i take it the only way around having to much footage is to make a best shots list in the time line and export to avi...........but this is degrading the quality each time a avi is edited and exported...
