possible phishing email claining to be from Microsoft
I have a hotmail address I have tied into a few online shops and such and I never switched those stores to anything else. This was sitting in the inbox today. Google returned no results for that email address or phone number, and according to my system information my copy of Windows is still active. I compared the key in the email to the sticker on the PC, not a match, and the format of the key seems a bit odd. The obvious grammatical errors are also a huge red flag.
Is this a variation on the phone call scam? Do they hope people will read this email and call them?
