I forgot to post this, but, 2 days ago I got my first mechanical keyboard! A Cherry MX Red Func KB-460. Really enjoying it this far.

The exact same keyboard as I have

I've got to say, it took me a while before I got used to it as I haven't been able to play as much as I would've liked to for some time, but when gaming the keyboard is seriously comfortable.

Hey! Another Func KB-460 user! Yeah, I got used to the linear switches in less than a day somehow, but I've seen huge improvements in some games I play etc. But I can confirm that the Reds are heaven to game on. The 45g of activation pressure is just on the perfect spot for gaming.

    Lucky you :)

It may have been that I've before only used the built-in keyboard on my laptop, the great time before I build my system, that has caused me that much trouble in getting used to this keyboard.

Yeah, that's probably why. I've almost removed all of the stabilizers from my keyboard, expect a few. The reason for that is that I felt a little inconsistency while having the stabilizers on, but now when removed the stabilizers it feels much more solid and almost no difference at all.

It take a very short time to get use to a mechanical keyboard.
Once you do you will never want any other kind of keyboard.

I can fully agree with this.
