I have "fond" memories of working installation projects where as we were always the last team to start work and everyone before us had over run, (and the startup was not moveable). This would mean weeks in excess of 100 hours - the worst was an engineer who managed 117 hours over a long weekend, (starting on the 30th December)

Ouch. The worst I ever did was 50 hours.

50-60 hours was my normal week when working at the office, but site visits were always a "get it done" thing, and you tended to work long hours even when you didn't need to, as it was better to get home rather than live out of a suitcase in a hotel

That was 50 hours in one stretch recovering a crashed mainframe.

So glad I'm retired and the kids have left home, means I only need to work a couple of hours a day instead of several.

    Today was a lucky day.

I got my long awaited computer glasses. I got finally a desk, several accessories for the desk and a chair. I also got a ringbell for my bike.
    Really happy!
