    V on ABC

It is just about time for the revised series from the Seventies "V". Thought I would get a thread going to see what forum members think of the show. It should be interesting with today's special effects. Was watching a little of the old episodes on SCI-FI, and had forgot how bad the special effects were back in the day.

So see you after the Show.

Well, the first episode is over, and gone. The first thing that was frustrating was all the homeless around the church, come on get over that crap it was not needed. The second BS was the Mother who is a professional out there busting her butt to support her kid because the no good father left her, please quit beating a dead horse.

For some reason everything just jumps from them arriving to it is time to kill all the no good visitors. No build up—say a couple of episodes—to what is going on, why are they here, what are these resistant cells and how did they get started and why. There is for some reason you are expected to know who the main characters are along with what is driving them toward their dislike for the visitor. Come on, a little build up helps make for a better show.

Though there seems to be some problems with what is happening, and that doesn't mean it was all bad. It did leave just enough information to get me to watch at least the next episode. Hopefully somethings will be explained so the viewer won't feel lost.

Well I do agree it was a little corny at times with the unneeded drama, I didn't think it was all bad for a start. Being 31, I did remember the original, which started in 1983. The original was a miniseries, so, I can imagine that this will also be a miniseries. Sort of to be expected not having a lot of drawn out and build up of the story line, not being a full blown out series. I suppose you'll just have to remember the original to get it, which they are playing on the sci fi channel, at least where I'm at.

They will show only 4 episodes of the new V, then cut it off until after the Winter Olympics in March, for the last 13 episodes. Which is really stupid imo.

Have to agree with the break in time. Am sure I will attempt to see the whole series just to see where they go with the show.

Was waking around Walmart early this morning and they had the original version of "V" on sale. They had only about two copies left. Didn't buy because just watched it on SCI-FI.
