The very first thing you need is A+. Then I would get the security + certification, and network +.
That gives you all the very basics. They helped me get my foot in the door and eventually led to a job.
Of course, moving on to the advanced stuff is necessary later on. Such as Microsoft certified, or other similar certifications.
Remember though: Certifications only show you took a test that says you know what you are doing. It is best to prove it if given the opportunity. Most jobs will ask in interviews certain specific tech questions, and if you do not know the answer, well no job for you.
