my best wishes with you and hope you are back to normal soon.
Having had spinal fusion surgery, Just knowing someone has to undergo a surgery is of great concern. So I'd like to wish you good luck and a speedy recovery. And continued good health to follow.
I have also had surgery before...
When I was 8 I ended up getting a growth stuck inside the valve that runs from the kidney to the bladder. It was like that for months; my left bladder was swelling up with urine because very little to none was being let loose while my right kidney was doing most of the heavy lifting. Finally one day...something had to give...and I was unable to use the restroom at all
300 Blood Draws, 500 X-Rays (250 in one sitting, for four hours and I couldn't move from laying on my left side), 30 Doc visits, I had to manually drink the CAT scan chemical liquid (anyone who has done that knows that it is absolute HELL). I will never forget when I finally went into surgery. I had a doctor who was kid friendly but was also a joker. Inside the operating room, they had butcher knifes on the wall. I had nightmares about that during the surgery...
The result? I had a kidney the size of a football (dead serious). I consider it a gift; I can drive from Marion NC->Raliegh NC and drink 4 or 5 large MickeyD's Sweet Tea and never even have to use the restroom...
