    the cloud is not a real cloud - Daily Mail


    During all the celeb hysteria about leaked pics a coupla months ago, UK paper the Daily Mail felt the need to explain to readers that the cloud is not an actual cloud. See pic

    Actually, you may be surprised by how many people there are who have no clue what "the cloud" actually is, including many otherwise computer savvy people. Same for "the internet of things".

    Start laughing, then; I've run into a few. Most, however, just have a vague idea that their data goes somewhere but have no clue where.

    Funny as it sounds, it's not disparate to think that there are people that have no idea of so many computer things (even ITs departments ). I'm not really surprised to see people that don't know that "the cloud" is just a marketing name.

    Sure a cloud is a Cloud.
    That is why on cloudy days your can store more data. Can't you?
    In sunny Florida their cloud storage is very limited. Poor souls.
