Did you hear one, do you have the FB link?

Yes, I heard a boom type noise, it was earlier this week Tuesday I believe (Dec. 30th). It sounded like when the Army or National Guard has live fire exercises up at Fort Indiantown Gap 26miles away from where we live.

You can hear the report with the right weather conditions. They fire off everything from mortars, Abrams tanks to 155mm howitzers, we usually only hear the 155's, but the local news didn't have any announcement that they were going to have an exercise and this boom that I heard didn't have any reverberation like in the video.

It lasted about 2seconds was loud and had some bass tonal quality to it.
It was almost like you could feel it.

    A loud, quick BOOM!

If you look back through wish-tv 8 facebook post to page comments, you will see some comments reporting a sonic boom or an explosion. I don't know if that one commenter post is still there or has been deleted but one said it could be caused by an earthquake even days later. There was some small earthquakes near New Madrid this last week. So you will know what some of the other comments are. Wish-tv 8 became a CW affiliate and Wttv4 became a CBS affiliate on the Jan 1st, 2015

The wishtv FB page must of removed it I looked back until I saw I was into June2014 , but didn't see anything.

My belief is their coming from seismic activity. Did, you hear one groze??

    Listen to this:

Just pick out one of the loudest, that's what I heard there were no multiples. It's what you would hear at the end of a fireworks show when one of the large white mortars would go off; The Boom from that.

Here's one fellas take on this: The Mysterious Booms cover up exposed! What USGS & the MSM news does NOT want you to know! The youtube at the beginning follows the post.

I found a link, I will PM you the link. Yes I heard it.

I listen to part of video already. He is basically saying it is a precursor to a big earthquake happening in a few months to a year hopefully his is wrong but who knows. However, boom sounds do also occur after earthquakes.

Thanks for the link, local and national news wont report it unless there's overwhelming reaction to an event.

I seem to recall accounts of loud booms in the stories about the big New Madrid earthquake of 1811/12.
