Absolutely!!! our perception is only that of what we have observed in the tiny time we have been here.

Absolutely, and we are so tiny in the observable universe that we are completely irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.

I think it's freaky to think about it, maybe this has something to do with my weird feelings.

If you think about it Boris there are two different situations.

1. Up and Down are properties of a gravity well so on earth there is an up and down. Its direction is independent of the orientation of the observer. There is also a different up and down on the moon but there is no up and down where there is no gravity.

2. Right, left, forwards and backwards are different. They are properties of the individual. I have a right, left forwards and backwards which I take with me wherever and in whatever orientation I am. It is different to your left, right, forward and backward and everyone else's however.

But if I were at the North pole and you at the South, wouldn't my up be your down and vice versa?

Up and down are properties of the gravity well. Up is away from the centre of the gravity well down is towards the centre of it. This is independent of the observer.

Boris:

If a bear walks south for one kilometer, then it walks west for one kilometer, then it walks north for one kilometer and ends up at the same point from which it started. What color was the bear?

You are correct on the color; As for location usually no, but there was one that crossed from Alaska to Greenland across the north pole region.
