Orion down and safe!
Watched the last 10minutes, reminded me of watching the beginnings of the US's journey to the Moon in the 60's.
I always felt we should have never stopped going there, imagine where we would be now.

I've been watching pretty much constantly for the last two days, but I don't have much else to do lol

I hope when the USS Anchorage gets there to pick up Orion, there will be better video. I haven't heard nor can find an arrival time although, I see NASA TV is scheduled to run to at least 1:30pm - 18:30ZULU.
I'll stick it out I don't have much to do either.

Just heard the Anchorage is 120yards away, but it will take a few hours to get Orion into the Anchorage's wet well..

I liked this one: @NASA_Orion should check to make sure the air bags weren't made by #Takata.
I'm heading out, back in a bit....

That's great news! I'll be watching during close encounter on July 14th, 2015: http:// New Horizons Mission to Pluto | www.nasa.gov
More good news:
Related: E-ELTAt a recent meeting ESO’s main governing body, the Council, gave the green light [1] for the construction of the European Extremely Large Telescope (E-ELT) in two phases. Spending of around one billion euros has been authorised for the first phase, which will cover the construction costs of a fully working telescope with a suite of powerful instruments and first light targeted in ten years time. It will enable tremendous scientific discoveries in the fields of exoplanets, the stellar composition of nearby galaxies and the deep Universe. The largest ESO contract ever, for the telescope dome and main structure, will be placed within the next year.
The E-ELT will be a 39-metre aperture optical and infrared telescope sited on Cerro Armazones in the Chilean Atacama Desert, 20 kilometres from ESO’s Very Large Telescope on Cerro Paranal. It will be the world’s largest “eye on the sky”.
