Things are getting better, though I wish that I could get rid of this dialysys. Three hours, three days a week. Thanks for asking. :)
Is yours done at home Tom or in the hospital ? My old neighbour used to have to go onto it but she had to go into hospital, she'd be picked up about 6am and it would be the middle of the afternoon before she got home again.
I hope things get better for you as I know what you're going through. You take care, thinking of you always. :)
Thanks for asking Joan... I'm at the VA to get dialsys right now, so I have an ambulance pick me up, but they are trying to get me in a new clinic just 1/2 mile from me It would really make things a lot easier
I know with my neighbour when she first went onto it she had a trial doing it at home. The problem was the storage needed for the stuff they bring out plus the place they lived in didn't have central heating so she had to start going to hospital.
I know at first she was going to 2 different hospitals, one for renal and the other one for something I can't remember now, it was a good few years ago.
They then decided one treatment was counter active to the other so just had her on dialysis at another hospital in another county, the nearest hospital didn't have their unit up and running when she needed it.
Lets hope they can get you in that new clinic as I know what a difference it will make being nearer to home, good luck. :)
