Erratic answering machine

Anybody know why an answering machine sometimes (often) just misses calls. Our answering message doesn't play at those times, and the phone apparently just hangs itself up. What can I do to fix this (hopefully short of buying a new machine)?

Skinnyguy again. Format's a little confusing for me, but I just wanted to say I fixed the blankety thing (at least for the time being). I ain't holding my breath.

Why does my mouse act up and become very erratic
When I plug my Logitech MX518 mouse into the rear of my MSI Z77A-G45 moboard it (the mouse) either stops working or becomes very erratic to the point of freezing the computer. Plugged into the front of the board it works flawlessly.

How Do I Stop My System From Answering ICMP Ping Requests ??
I've already made a rule for inbound requests, but it doesn't seem to be working. Ran a security check at and the reply to a ICMP ping was the only problem. Everything else was "stealth."

erratic touchpad..
Just recently my touchpad has been acting strange... It does not move in the linear direction and constant speed which was normal until now... Now I have to use the touchpad several times to move it across or up and down and the speed changes-usually slower-the there seems to be less control over...
