Anyone tried any Filipino dish? Ate mixed pork and chicken Adobo for dinner.:)
Pinoy - I am half Filipino and chicken and pork adobo is my FAVOURITE. I must admit, I make an AWESOME adobo to the point that my family now think my adobo is better than my nana's and my dad's. That is a BIG call LOL
I also regularly eat and make tinola and sinigang
My favorite dish. Chicken legs marinated in milk then rolled in italian bread crumbs. Baked in the oven for about an hour and 15. Tastes just like fried chicken, only better.
I have to mention tonight's dinner because it was exceptional...
My husband and I had my brother and his wife over for dinner. We did a 'simple' BBQ.
Roasted beetroot, sweet potato, rocket and feta warm salad with balsamic reduction
Chinese crunchy noodle salad with cabbage and pinenuts
Marinated Lamb Cutlets
Medium Rare steak
Lemon and Garlic Chicken breast
Plum chicken wings
finished with homemade fresh fig and almond frangipane tart with double cream
Everything was homemade in fact, including all the marianades :) :)
It was SUPERB.
For us girls, it was washed down with Pelorus Sparkling Wine *hic*
my cat and wild rice. see i all ready ate the rice.................
