How many reliable online shops sell flash memory?
I ordered a 64GB Samsung Evo+ from Best Buy, because I figure they have to be getting their stock direct from Samsung. I ordered because it's about $16 round trip in gas to drive to the nearest BB or any other store that would carry them, and the local Walmart is sold out of 64GB cards. If they had them locally I'd have picked one up there.
But eBay is just no good for any sort of SD cards, USB flash storage or anything like that. I'd wager 90% of it if not more is fraudulent. Every seller I checked carrying EVO cards had negative feedback for fake cards nor does eBay care anymore if fake goods are sold. They're now allowing Nintendo DS or GBA flash cartridges to be sold, I guess their past policies have gone out the window. After getting 2 card sin a row this summer that were fake I stopped buying cards on eBay.
I don't even really trust Amazon. Not the indie sellers, and even Amazon direct may be suspect because I don't know where they get their stock from.
Newegg, maybe. But their prices tend to be higher than the competition, especially on EVO cards. Walmart's had the 32GB for $10 for months now, Best Buy has 32GB EVO + for $10 and 64GB for $18. Newegg wants more.
So are buying it at Walmart/Target or ordering from Best Buy my only options for legit cards?
