the wallpapper with a fish called Melvin

That FISH is so awesome...just love it

Beats the hell out of Tux...maybe it should have a name and become the biggest thing since...well..powderd milk

For now I just call it Melvin

and strangely it kind of remains me of that scene in the middle of the Monty Python film "The Meaning of life"...you know, fishy, fishy, fishy...

Who said computing can't be fun?

You need to switch to LCD. I think the radiation from your CRT has fried your brain...

I took Melvin off. My cat didn't like it....

    I Don't think it's a great idea for MS.
This fish name is Betta, it's here because Seven is still in beta version. I'm not sure if MS want to associate Windows with a symbol of Beta version

    Hi Barman.

Not mine. He kept hissing at the damn thing and tried to attack my screen a couple of times.

With ours here, if I put that particular screen saver on the machine, she will sit for hours watching the fish, even going to the extent of searching all round the monitor for a way in.

Mind you she's got a habit of sleeping on top of the monitor and then jumping on to the keyboard - she's already snapped the supports of two have to remember to slide the keyboard away when not in use, she also has a knack of pressing the sleep key on the keyboard - I think she's trying to tell me something

Hmm...maybe Bill will consider to put in another fish in the final version...then they can be known as Betta & Melvin...and maybe even use Pink Floyds "Wish you were here" as a startup tune, you know" We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl"...or something like that...

Then maybe even UNCUT would do an article on Windows 7....and we can read storys like: "Syd Barrets ghost is making IE 8 Freeze" and of course "Godley-Creme denies freeze frame!"

I need a script that can make me some good coffe...

At least none of my cats can settle on the screen, it's an LCD so not wide enough but one of them has a nasty habit when I'm busy at the computer suddenly this great black panther jumps up on my desk right in front of my screen and it's worse when he's wet
