how come people come up with new names

where do people get info to name new items

like computer, web, mouse, keyboard, monitor selfie, smart phone etc

these items names didnt existed before the invention of these things so how come people came with these names

It`s called a mouse because if you turn it sideways and hold the bottom level with your eyes it has the same profile as a mouse :)

not everybody see it as a mouse so whoever coined the term mouse must be really intelligent person and others also who came up with new names

If I remember the first mouse for computers came out with Mac computers back in the 80's. At My Mac Plus came with a mouse; it was the first time I used a computer with a mouse, and now days using a computer without one seems strange. . .:)
