emulator and VM settings help

Is there a site where I can see what settings I need to have to run an emulator or VM? Such as what settings I need for the HDD (sector size, etc.).

I watched one video on YouTube to be able to get PCem running DOS 6.22.

I want to emulate an IBM 5150 but can't find any info for it.

I'm on vacation this week so I plan on fooling around with older systems and try to play some games.
