    Heard it all before

Yes I know there's one missing - I don't Count Millennium as an OS although I did use it as I have with all the others mentioned
Why is ME any less an OS than 95 or 98?

My favourites were 2000, XP x64 Edition, Vista SP2 x64, and 8 x64. I think 8 gives you the best of 7, but with no telemetry or GWX. The only thing about Windows 10 is that if you customize it a lot, much of that customization gets reset with the forced updates. And there should be a way to indefinitely stop udpates.

By the way, 8x does run faster than 10, and still runs everything current

I hadn't used my laptop at work for a little while and as a result it needed updating last night. So I ran the huge, operating system replacing update overnight and into this morning (lost a half hour's work while it finished the update), only to find that it had erased two of my unsigned drivers. After about 20 minutes of searching, I find the drivers. The problem is that I can't install them unless I disable driver signing, which requires a reboot...

I go to reboot, and lo and behold, Windows has downloaded another update! It gives me no option to do a clean reboot. I MUST UNDER ANY %$#%#$ circumstances run the update while rebooting. I lose another hour of work while this is happening, then another 15 minutes to finally upgrade the drivers again (which I should not have had to do).

Then, and only then, did I find that my USB ports no longer worked... driver issues...

I really, really, really, really hate Windows 10.

I would suggest not wasting a good hate on a operating system.

If you don't like a operating system don't use it. It's that simple.

I happen to prefer Windows 7 but I don't hate any operating system. The ones I don't like I don't use.

    PS:
Their are many people that like W-10 and use it.

    Each to their own.

It's just a matter of preference people!

I happen to have the exact same problems with 10 as with Windows 7. With few services tweaks it's now smoother.

    Another thought.

If one so chooses, they can use more than one operating system.
Many people use Windows 7 and W-10.
Isn't it great to have choices?

Microsoft actually change my computer more often than I am able to. When things start going wrong, who is going to cry?

I've been using Windows 10 since day 1 of it's release and I adore it! I still use Windows 7 and it's still fine, but for my personal computer, I'll never go back to 7. 10 can be buggy at times, but for the most part, I've had nothing but positive experiences with Windows 10. Just a personal opinion, but I feel both are great OS's and I'm happy with Windows 10 and will stay with it. Hopefully they can eventually get it stable enough for people to get on board!

We all know whenever a new OS comes out there are going to be people on both sides, love/hate, it's just a platform when all's said and done for running your programs on. I've had no real problems from any of them, but I do like to keep up to date so as soon as the OS has been out for a while I'll jump on board and carry on using it till the next one comes out. If I had problems and couldn't run the programs I use on a regular basis then I might feel a bit grieved and want to complain but as long as I can do what I want on the machine I've got at the time I don't see the need to start an argument, we all have our own opinions and I like to live in peace. :)
