Possible to refill a toner by yourself?

I'd like to refill my toner (Samsung clx 3300) as I did with ink before I had my laserprinter. It worked great, but im a little scared why no body is doing it with toner.
Do you know if its sucessfull to try it? I dont want to throw my toner away because I just need the toner powder and that should not be so expensive...

I guess for a color laserprinter it is much more difficult, but why should only the industry be able to fill toner powder in a box?

I hope you think the same way..

Keep in mind that toner is carcinogenic. I don't think I would want to breathe in or handle the stuff if I didn't have to.

Also keep in mind that in most toner cartridges these days there is a sheet counter that has to be reset if you refill the toner. Otherwise, the cartridge will reach the max number of pages allowed and stop printing - with all your new toner inside of it.

It's best to let a toner refill shop do your toner refills - and safer from a health perspective.

You can also order refilled toner carts online. These will also have additional components, such as chips and transfer drums, replaced. You can buy kits that will have all the necessary components as well as toner but because of the likelihood of making a mess and being exposed to the hazardous toner, you are better off leaving the refilling to the pros.

I have a Brother laser printer and I use generic equivalent replacements - much cheaper than the genuine Brother cartridge. I did the same thing with my old Lexmark. I don't believe the generic replacements are recycled cartridges.

Hi, I have a problem with my printer. While I was printing out some papers a few days ago, the red light went on and the device stopped working. I thought the problem was with cartridge, so I refilled it. Even so, the printer couldn't recognize it and keeps showing red light. I have read some...

Multi Function Color Lasers toner wastage
I have an OKI MC561 MFP which I am very pleased with. At the moment I am predominately using it for scanning and extremely mimimal printing. I have noticed though that the color toner levels are already down to 80% full. When MFP's start up and go through the warming up phase do they waste...
