    Amazon vs VPN

I recently began using SlickVPN simply for the fact it was part of a Usenet provider subscription. Figured one advantage might be for viewing Euro-region Amazon Prime videos from the US but research (and practical use) has me understanding Amazon is programmed, across the board, to not accept non-logging VPN's. Still, not sure this is the only factor nixing Amazon/VPN compatibility. I've also noticed that even if I attempt using the VPN within region Amazon is more likely than not going to reject its use but if I cherry-pick through the available VPN locations I can usually find one which it'll allow.

Simply wondering if there might be a secret for it's successful use mainly for out-of-region (country) Amazon Prime video viewing? As an aside -- Anyone know what the Euro regions are (i.e. Amazon.de can be viewed from which countries?)?

    Appreciate any insight.

I'm pretty sure all of the amazon regions are separate - you need to be signed up with billing in each region, if you can get past that then a smart dns service like unlocator can switch between the UK/US/DE regions that it is available in.

Edit - I've just checked in my unlocator control panel and it says this - "You will need an Amazon Prime Account from the region you want to watch. In other words a UK Prime account will not work with the German region and vice versa."

Thanks for the quick reply z3r010!

Yeah, I had a feeling they were probably using my billing address to determine accessibility. On a few occasions they requested I use a pin they were sending to my e-mail for verification. Really frustrating that they have no problem with me logging on to Amazon.de or .uk and ordering from their marketplace but that nasty old DMCA (or Euro equivalent) make streaming a no-go.

Maybe I'll try dropping my month-to-month US prime and see if they will allow signing up with a DE account (unlocator or not). Will be interesting to see if any work-arounds will...work. ;-)

As for regions -- I'd think the DE region would have to encompass, simply for economic reason, some of the adjoining sister countries.
