What a pity though! But then again neither Spain nor Netherlands have ever won a world cup and it would be great to have a newcomers name on the cup.

I agree. If it is always Brazil and Germany, it gets boring.

Hi there
While Spain were good and the Octopus predicted the downfall of the German team my money is still on Holland

I would LOVE to see those 1 million people in Amsterdam who will be packing the central city to watch the final on a big screen going totally bonkers if Holland were to win.

Spain in theory are better -- but so were Germany -- however individual flashes of brilliance from players like Arjen Robbens and Snijders can overcome a superior "footballing" team.

Van Persie has also yet to make a sensible contribution -- I'm sure he will in Sundays final.

So for me

'Hup Holland.

Cheers

Jimbo,

I Fully agree with your sentiments with regards to Holland as they are to quote a cliché - "the best team never to win the world cup" and have also been one of the most entertaining sides to watch.

Spain however are a very good side who have made it into the final of the largest football tournament on the planet - without playing anything like their best.

This must be a worry for the Dutch team going into the final, and If the Spanish team find any of their missing quality they should be too strong for the boys in Orange.

Hopefully it will be the spectacle that we all want and the best side will win

The octopus predicted Spain just a couple of minutes ago - and Germany for 3d place.

⚽️ Fifa World Cup - Surarez should wear a plastic dog muzzle
Hi there Instead of giving the player a lengthy suspension for getting hungry and biting an opponent for an Early Dinner why not make him wear a plastic Dog Muzzle while playing for the next 12 months -- I'm sure that would embarrass him much more than banning the guy from playing -- he's...
