After long and tedious negotiations, we (I and the CEO of our family) reached an agreement. She agreed to let me to continue sleeping in the same bed with her, I agreed not to bet in this tournament any more.

But, of course, had I made a bet, it had been Japan wins in regular time.
Happy Angie = happy Kari, right?

That is of course true, but at least equal important is, as every married man knows, the peace and serenity at home only possible when wife gets the last word

As I have said many times before, the key to the successful and happy marriage is that both man and wife can talk about their individual needs and feelings, and then peacefully do as the wife wants.

    Hey noob!
He lost that bet of "not to bet in this tournament any more."
Kari is now sleeping on the floor!

Good you didn't bet or you would have lost it.
BTW, while watching the penalty shootout, I was so involved in the match that I ended up sharing some imp a/c info with the customer without verification. If that call is monitored, I'll lose half of my incentives earned in the entire month.
    Fingers crossed. :P

My guess is that it will end with 11 meters and Japan will win.
My guess is that its going for penalty
That's what whs means, in German penalty kick is called Elfmeter or Elfer (Elf = 11), due to the distance they are shooted from.

Officially penalty kick is called Strafstoß (Straf = penalty, stoß (in this context) = kick, letter ß = double s), but in all my years here in Germany I think I have never heard people use that word. It's Elfer here

Sorry, I just love to share and learn trivial pieces of information...
Kari, thanks for clarifying this point. It never occured to me that one would not associate the penalty point with the 11 meters.

Thanks Kari, I didn't know that and I was wondering what he meant.

Now, everybody root for Germany please. Anything but Argentina...

Up next, Spain vs. Portugal. From my limited understanding, Spain is regarded as a better team, but we'll see in about an hour.

@Dinesh, I hope nobody was listening! Let's try to find out.
