Haven't used Skype lately. Is it down the tubes since MS bought it?

When it was consumed by MS at this obscene value 8 years ago it was the hottest thing in global telecom. A cousin of mine used it to stay 'in touch' with her kids at home from work. She called it, "The only thing from 'The Jetsons' that actually came to be for real." Imagine a planet where all women could see their kids, and their kids were delighted to be seen by Mom, with child like ease at a laptop. Where would such a technology naturally go? And has Skype stayed on its most likely outcome curve? It would be a revolution of such magnitude that world-wide telecom traffic would zoom to saturation within, say, 3 years. The huge morass of digital telephone signals would quickly overwhelm any data gathering apparatus set up as national security.
Mine is just one 'thumbnail analysis' of many, and so you must choose what analytic conclusion that you most believe in. And when you have made your choice, believe in it! It is a free and fair world by design.

Indeed, everything in life has a value and a price. But some people still believe in free, and I do not dispute them, but I do not believe there is any 'free'. There is however, cheap, where cheap means good value for a low price, and not inherently low quality. I suppose there is good cheap and bad cheap, but there ain't no free. You can quote me on that sentence.

Well, everybodies know nothing is free in the business concern and an upgrade offer is certainly not free either (devoid of interest, let's say).

Now the question is, how is your habilities to not or agree falling onto/into the supposed trick behind the shiny facade. May I or not?

Yours is a good question, and I defer to some others to address it. I already post here too much!

That's just reach the free will, after some intense self-debates (with struggling mind effects). No need to picture me the final day of january 2020.

Aha...humm, at the moment riding in the spaceship Nostromo w/Alien. MS will have to wait because that movie had severals suite. But Ripley is a good soldier and will come back home once again the target safely parameter. That could mean an upgrade to your eyes? Why not!

Edit: I think already Sony and Pioneer announced their end of support for Windows 7 by January 14th...

It is said that the rats know when to desert a sinking ship. But who wants rats anyway? Yes, I am prepared. I have ONE Win10 machine that will be my lone presence on the Internet. The rest will run under that layer on a second network adapter. I won't need any 'Win 7 support', and Win 7 runs hot for me.
