There are programs that will image your hard drive and write it to the SSD. You can either do an image of the hard drive or simply use the clone function and copy it to the SSD. If you only have one drive in your computer then a clone should be straight forward. If you have more than one then you may have a problem getting the clone to always boot the first time.
I usually put the SSD in an external enclosure and clone the original drive to it. Once it is done I swap the SSD with the original drive.
