I think it was an AI on a learning exercise, as soon as I noticed, I blocked the servers it was coming from.

Where would an AI get 20,000 different IPs from?

Btw, are you the admin or is Brink the admin? I need to know which one of you to kidnap for a ransom. :)

The requests don't need to come from different IP's (lots of users share ipv4's these days), it's all down to how they open and close the session.

    We are both Admin.

Maybe people are wanting to go back to Windows 7, because they are tired of MS tracking them; forcing them to buy new computers; and, in general, releasing new versions of Windows that keep getting worse, etc.? I have also noticed a lot of new members posting with questions re: getting up and running. lots of new posters with just 1 post under their name.

    I did notice this
    http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_os.asp
In July 2023 people using Windows 7 were 0.3% of the market share and suddenly it jumped to 2%. Not sure what happened last summer that caused the spike but I believe MS officially dropped 7 support that month so some disgruntled 10/11 users decided to spite them.

Is it just me or is this hilarious. AI has to go on a learning exercise.

Yes, I'm devastated. And here I thought AI was the Superior Cosmic Mind Thing that was going to solve all our problems...
