Are you left handed?

I just read an article about a college that only has seating for 7% of the left handed students. So I thought about my days in school and how I HATED those right handed desks they always had. I was also talking to my wife about guitars and how I would like to learn to play but its harder being a lefty. Heck do they make a left handed guitar hero controller? I would guess not.....

Well who on here is left handed. I know there has to be a few and just for giggles what about being left handed in a right handed computer world gets you the most? for me its the keyboard and how laptops are designed for the right handed person. Mice are about 80% right handed have not found a true left handed mouse, they do make uni mice but they lack some features that righty mice have.

One strange fact about us lefties is that most architects are left handed but yet they design the house for right handed people.

So everyone in their right mind (meaning your a lefty, google it if you don't understand) speak up maybe we can design and build a left handed computer company LOL

Interesting, I am left handed, but you seem like a true true left handed. ( i can also write with both hands, both are not pretty in any case)
I can play guitar both ways, but your brain has to learn it somewhat backwards ( to me it was, since i started with right). They are more expensive, even though Gibson guitars are always expensive.

Still haven't found a mouse, but if i did find one, i would be insanely more faster at FPS games rather then slow and clumsy on my right hand and the inherent pains from my wrist.
On a side note,
* in Israel the most beautiful women are left handed, Israel has extremely intelligent people for some reason
* Left handed have a tendency to be more talented in creative world (music,art,etc, etc)
* But with this higher tendency to be better then the average right handed person, we also have a higher rate of being depressed, mentally ill and more illness then right handed people.
(even though most creative minds always have a higher rate of depression and other issues)

I feel your pain buddy, in school writing with the dam pencil and paper and smudges

I like japan since it starts on the other side and its how i got into Japanese things i must admit too.

I love right hand drive, it was so much of a pain to get this RHD BMW e34 and this Honda civic type r to be legal, but worth it. The looks people do are interesting, just not going into a fast food ordering place alone...drive thru

Lefty here. Pencil/pen smudges all my life. Thankful for the invention of faster-drying ink.

Anyway, you could flip the Guitar Hero guitar and play the colored buttons with your right hand and strum with your left. But the colors on the screen would be reversed.

Oh and in college, I doubt even 7% of desks were for lefties. Most of my classes there were none.

Yes I am a total lefty and happen to be very creative at least people think so with my artwork. while I grew up in the 70's I even had some teachers try to make me write right handed which didn't work very well.

As for smugging while writing, first I write backwards in notebooks since the binding gets in the way. Second I found some way to keep the ink/led off my hand. I took some test and smugged an answer which in turn ended up giving me a failing grade for no answer so I spent days writing at my desk at home. I remember my mom and dad fighting over trying to force me to be right handed.

I run into things on a daily basis that being so LEFTY that its a reminder all the time like
my laptop
RC cars
notebooks
scissors
pocket knifes
zipper on pants button fly jeans are a pain

every time I need to sign something people try and hard it to my right hand even after I reach with my left. my doctor always hands me papers on a clip board to sign and puts it for right handed angles to sign so I have to take it from him and turn it so I can sign.

I did luck out with my apartment door opens opposite normal. so the locks etc feel normal to me while others try and unlock my door and end up locking it.

the funny part of being left handed is I damaged my right shoulder a few years ago and never got surgery to correct it and now my use of my right hard is even more limited.

I don't get to use the RHD cars we have often since they are more of track race use, but it feels so good being able to shift, in an instant while mashing (clutch kicking) vs compard to my LHD feels sluggish and sometimes miss the shifts (maybe i just suck)

& also i noticed today when i handed someone to sign a paper, i did it with my left hand going to their left hand then they have to flip it to the other side to sign when they do credit card purchases. I guess its just normal

I'm right handed but my youngest son is left handed, and one of my grandsons, who's 18 months old, seems to be favouring his left hand but his dad, my son-in-law, is left handed so he may be taking after him.

took the test, 42 left 58 right so I am right brained

guess this test doesn't take into effect training of any kind.
