My dad bought one of those computer/type writers. $30,000 for a keyboard, 5" screen and a printer that would take 10 minutes to print a few sentences. Our first Home Computer was a old dell with windows 1995 - and it is still running as good as a 1995 computer can run! We upgraded that to a XP computer in 2001 and we are actually still using it for old games that cant run in 7.
Worked for TI Austin 1977 for a few months debugging a huge computer system being sold to England. Discovered I could not work inside a building with no contact to the sun. Bought my first computer in '78, Tandy TR 80 full package dot matrix printer and all for little over a grand. Got hooked for ever.

Back in the late 70 or early 80 Ford Motor Co. was selling computers to their plant employees with a school. I couldn't go to the school because of the I.D. you had to show. He was tall and black and I'm short and white, they would of noticed; but it got me hooked.
