That's depressing. I wonder how much a Chinese worker gets paid in one of the factories that makes any number of PC components? Probably about the same so not really a dis on Macs but a dis on the whole computer industry.

well i was playing around over on my linux mint forums and found someone making a joke on macs so i went to youtube and got some "im a mac, im a pc" type things only ... mac vs pc vs linux. and stumbled across this. i deffinitally dont disagree with what you have to say. only one thing... its possible that using pc components limits this, because multiple companies make parts.... unlike the mac parts who are controlled by apple

Well said, one would have to look at the whole Computer Industry in General. Anyway there's no denying that this sort of thing has been going on for years, not only for computers but many other material things.

Our world is far from perfect to say the least.

But not bad video never the less.

Not really. Foxxconn components (for example) are in a lot of PC parts. Motherboard sockets for example.

I wouldn't feel to bad about this though, give it enough time and the roles will be reversed

Hate to burst the balloon folks, but this is not just happening in the computer industry. Check out your TV, stereo system, household appliances, your clothes, sports equipment, etc., I think you get the picture.

It is depressing to watch, but still, there are some companies who are wanting to try and stop it. Like the Ethical Trading Initiative was set up in the UK in 1998. The company I work for, Next Retail, play a big part in it.

Which is why everything is crap quality these days.

But who are the real criminals? The slave drivers or the 'middle men' ?
