    Goodbye Dave

Well guys, I have to say I've had it with Windows 7 7000 build. cant play any punkbuster games, some games crash and die, other programs are just plain buggy...haha so I think im gonna get rid of Win 7 Until RC1 comes out.

Just curious though. I installed Ultimate Vista 64 on another HD and Win 7 is still on the main HD. Should I just delete the WINDOWS folder?

EDIT: Btw this doesnt mean im leaving the seven community

    Hello Sparatan,

Have you tried Compatibility Mode with the programs to see if that may help with them?

Is Vista and Windows 7 on different partitions on the same hard drive, or two separate hard drives?

two separate ones. And trust me theres no work around for the errors I get. Tried everything. Don't get me wrong. 7 is great, I'm gonna buy it *Ahem* when it comes out first thing.

Just curious if the way i should get rid of it though would be best to delete the WINDOWS folder

Yah, I've heard that PunkBuster doesn't play with W7 very well at other forums too.
    Are you also using RivaTuner?
If not, try that before you leave 7 altogether as it has a Protected mode for users with PunkBuster and maybe that may help. I'm not a big gamer and never used PB but everytime I install RivaTuner I see that option for folk with PB installed.

Team Fortress 2 doesn't work well with W7. It almost seems it creates a limit of preformance/power in the background for the game. No matter what resolution, video settings, etc. It will still lag when many things/people are going on in front of me. I even made my TF2 look like Quake. Which is pretty sick. and it will still lag. But it's playable still, I guess.

It's not my computer, since it worked well with Vista and XP.

But ya, PunkBuster is crap. I wish they would find something, or make them improve PB.

Eh, I have my love and hate about VAC. One part is that the VAC bans the person later on and the second is that if one game gets banned they all get banned....personally I think its retarded and not to mention they say the security of your account is your own. Well I cant really do much about that if im off deployed and someone hacks my account because its dormant and uses it to hack their *** off. so thats my hate of them but yeah compared to punkbuster VAC is alot nicer.

    Are you also using RivaTuner?
Yeah i used it for my 4850 for a little bit and it made the poor card spaz out. I guess its one of those really senetive cards. I dare not touch it with my 4870 so i just uninstalled it. I am however thinking of putting it back on because i could manupulate the speed at which my GPU fan ran..
but i have been through and back on riva tuner and i havent seen a PB option so i might go look

I had a punkbuster problem too....I am not all fixed. It ended up being in the services folder that PnkbstrA wasn't started and B wasn't automatic start. You also have to run both as administrator and make sure they can interact with the desktop. Works great now.
