    White Christmas

It looks like I won't have to dream of a white Christmas this year. I have had my head stuck in the computer so long, I was surprised a bit ago to look outside and see the ground covered with snow. It's not very thick, but it's still snowing lightly. The first snow of the year, and on Christmas Eve...kind of poetic.

Same here. First snow of the year and on Christmas eve. Santa will be coming for sure tonight.

The only White Christmas I've ever experienced was in Korea in 1972 when I was stationed there while in the army. We never have snow for Christmas in Calif!

I can't recall the exact year, but the last Christmas that I remember was in the 70s. That was here also, but I was living in Texas and came home for Christmas. However, there had been an ice/snowstorm before I arrived that had done some major damage around the city. The taxi that I took from the airport couldn't make it all the way to my home, because it just kept slipping and sliding when he turned into my neighborhood. I'm not sure if I ever experienced a white Christmas before that.

The only white Christmas I've seen in the 35 years that I've been in South Carolina was in 1989, the same year (in August) that hurricane Hugo made landfall here.

It's been snowing here since the 18th. The thrill has wore off.

I'm just kidding. You can never get enough of that white powdery stuff..

BTW, we've been under a tornado watch since I got up at 7AM until noon EST today.
