Been to the accident & emergency department and waited half the night, eventually saw a doctor who barely looked old enough to have left school, and they took some blood and asked a handful of stupid questions, and one and a half hours later they pronounced it to merely be extensive bruising - and sent me home...

They reckoned NHS Direct should have been able to tell me the same over the phone, which was kinda hard to believe when they were the very people who were telling me it was anything from septacemia to MRSA, to meningitis... but defo' not bruising LOL!

When it turns yellow and green I'll post another photo...
I'm happy to hear that everything was ok. :)

Well, at least it was nothing serious LOL... but they did say there'd been an internal bleed as that much bruising isn't normal after cartilege surgery...

Perhaps we should turn this into 'the hairy legs thread' now...

It sure is stiff, swollen, and sore... as you can imagine from the piccy

I've had the same op, same knee, a couple of years back... recovery statistics the surgeons claim are very short as compared to the real world getting back to strength and manoeuvrability factors - but I had one of the two cartileges torn badly and I'm hopeful I got a better surgeon this time around... :)

They checked for DVT, meningitus, MRSA, septacemia (and probably a few other bugs too...) during the early hours of this morning - and even used angiography and ultrasound to check for any serious haemorraging before sending me home.

Last time I had nothing by way of bruising.

    Thanks for your recovery wishes

Are you referring to our new Obama-care?

He's English so it's their NHS service. (National Health Service=Public)

By all accounts it hasn't been much chop for quite a while now. Australia's Public health system is rapidily heading in the same direction.

Take working model + add government involvement = broken.

It's a tried and tested formula
