Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1 (desktop)

Right now Google, simply because it is the browser default search engine. I have not tried Bing, to be honest....not out of any loyalty to Google though, it's just not the one at the top of the page.
Interesting poll though.....I'll be curious to see what is popular with the rest of the members.

Google, just because I always have. I fear becoming one of those paranoidal... I kind of want to break Google's monopoly. Maybe someday I will switch to Bing. Help MS out a bit...

I voted Google because nowadays the main 'web' search engines all like to share the finds, so you only really need one for page searching and that tends to come down to user preference. 10 years ago I would have had a list so big it wouldn't fit on a sheet of A4.

I do still use others for finding stuff like files on FTP servers that aren't listed on the main engines, but I typically use Google to find these FTP searches lol!

Search Engine ?
Hello, Is there a free, or inexpensive, search engine that will search the text in the documents in all my files, and not just by file name ? In other words, literally searching every text word on PC, wherever it might be, looking for a match. Thanks, Bob

This is not a problem now. I just want to put it on record for the non-believers. Some time ago - maybe a year or so, someone posted online that she could not bring up Wikipedia when she did searches. No one believed her. Everyone kept saying she was doing something wrong. News! It...

Slow search Engine
I just upgraded a Dell XPS 410 with a new HD, graphics card, and Windows 7 Home Premium. I also boosted the RAM from 1gb to 4gb. I changed the default Bing search engine to Google. In my homepage in IE, I can access favorites with no problem. If I try to use the google search engine to get to a...

Windows 7 search engine
First post here. I am really surprised not to see more discussion of this, and I have not found any sort of acceptable alternative since starting with Windows 7 in March of 2011 I simply do not understand the Windows 7 search engine capabilities. Perhaps the best way to highlight this is with...

I always use the search engine a lot, and in win7 I can't manage to find out how to search inside files and folders. Need to search for specific strings in textfiles. Is this feature not implemented in win7 or is it just me that can't find it?
