The reason there were no Windows or Abucusesssss is, that we had to burn them to keep warm, and there were certainly no Apples or Macs Donalds in them days either.

I'm trying to recall our cold winters, but we were so numb from the cold our brains didn't work, hence no memory of said times.

I believe we sold ALL our coal the the English, and the Irish stole our wood.
All we had left was sugar beet.

I have to laugh... here in Western Canada, we've had 24 days straight of -10 or colder, with the worst day being -45 and blizzarding.. Everything in the UK is shut down due to a little bit of snow, we just find it an inconvenience when we get 1 foot+....

I'm still waiting for global warming to find its way here... -32 right now, hopefully +10 by Tuesday

Yeah. Countries like Canada and Sweden, Finland etc are well prepared for snow.
We In UK plainly are not.

This was quite fun at first but I can't get to work all week and I won't get paid.
Yesterday I tried to get my car out and acciddently "creased" a neighbours car, that'll cost me my £250 insurance excess and put my premium up

It really will be brown bread and butter for all of February round at my place

As you say Canada and such are able to cope with it because it's something they know they will get every year so are prepared.

Here in the UK it's not so common to get the situation that we find ourselves in now so of course we are not so prepared, it's not something we know we will get every year.

They could send a bit of that global warming up here if they want.
