Laptop Spares, Best Place To Sell?

Most I assume will say ebay, but is there anywhere else people might suggest? My mothers HP DV8935ea blew a few month back, and has just been sat in her house, now I've got it and want to break it up.

She's kept the HD's, I'll keep the memory, but overall it's in pretty good condition as all it did was sit her office.

Personally I would throw it up on Craigslist as a local, cash only sale. I have had quite a bit of luck with that, especially rebuilding old systems that people were throwing away.

Thanks for that, I'll have to check it out. It's a shame really because it's in excellent condition to say it's as old as it is, and she was willing to pay out to have a new board put in it, but common sense prevailed so she's just going to get a new one.

Well I placed it on craigslist, had 3 replies back today asking if it was still for sale, and all have responded back with more or less the same story, not in the country, gift for a friend, will wire the money ect.

After all these years, and all the awareness you'd think they'd have given up.

LOL.. that's why I make sure to post "LOCAL CASH ONLY SALES". Yeah, you occasionally have to deal with the scam-spammers, but I have used it quite extensively with no issues.

After the third one I updated it with a similar message. There was a site a few years ago where some guy took the scammers on a bit of a goose chase for his money, having them send pics to him holding signs with ridiculous, but hilarious slogans on that anyone with half a brain would have clocked straight away what he was doing, which just goes to show I guess just how thick some these scammers are, but I can't remember what site it was.

TwitVid - some of the raw footage from today's laptop smash by @sambalayne

also: these laptops didn't work and were not fixable also they were 13 years old. AND we cleaned up the mess and recycled everything we could.

Finally joined ebay, and listed it....

    - Ebay

I've had two offers already, one at £50, the other at £60, but think that's a bit low considering I could possibly get for the screen alone. What do you guys think, is £120 a reasonable price to get shut of it as a whole, and if I took the long route, stripped it down and sold parts individually, what could I expect to get?

Item now sold, agreed on £100 with buyer, which isn't bad considering I got it for nothing.
