WoW: Boy Finds 42-Year-Old Woman 'Soulmate'

By now sure you have heard of this, if not, heres the whole info

Can love bloom on the battlefield? For 16-year-old Andrew Kane of Barrie, Ontario and 42-year-old Lauri Price of Texas, the answer might be yes.

Last year, on December 29, Andrew Kane asked his mother and father if they would drive him to a hotel to meet with Lauri Price and to spend the rest of his holidays with her. When the parents denied his request, Kane calmly returned to his room. Then, at 2 a.m. Kane's parents heard the front door open. When they went to check on Andrew, he was gone.

According to the initial report from the Globe and Mail, Kane had left a note for his parents that read: "I don't know how to explain it to you, but this will show you not only the commitment we have to each other, but also that your fears of her are ill found…Like I said, she offered to meet with you. I got in the way of that. What person who would do me harm would be willing to meet with you?"

Kane's parents were aware of some of his activities on the internet, including his addiction to World of Warcraft. Kane supposedly played the game "every waking hour," and rarely attended school because of the addiction. Kane's mother also found an MSN Messenger chat log between her son and Price where they engaged in overt sexual discussions and talked about meeting face to face.

On New Year's Eve, two days after Kane had left his home, the police picked up the boy and the 42-year-old woman at Future Shop after a tip from the public.

Kane lied about his age, telling Price that he was 20-years-old, but given that the age of consent in Canada is 16, Price will not face any criminal charges from Canadian authorities.

Price wasn't so lucky on her flight back home, however, as she was arrested on the plane towards BushIntercontinentalAirport due to the age of consent in Texas being 17.

"She enticed him to leave home. That's illegal in the state of Texas," said HarrisCounty prosecutor Eric Devlin, according to the Houston Chronicle. "It doesn't even matter if it's within the age of consent in a foreign country."

"The (online) chats they have are incredibly sexually explicit. She talks about all the big things she's going to do to him sexually," Devlin added. "She helped him to formulate the plan to run away. She provided him with the wording for a note to leave his mother."

Price remains in the Harris County Jail with a combined bail of $310,000.

She has got to be pretty Twisted to fly all that way for a 16 year old. What a loser.

Thats unique, but if this all occurred in Canada where the age of consent is 16, how can they hold another states law to her?

I mean, I could understand if it started in Texas then worked its way into Canada but just seems a tad odd (the story itself is, as well).
