This is the same hoax that was around in 2006.
Check here for more info.
Email Hoaxes :: VK Webs

I like this part from the message.
"Anyone-using Internet mail such as Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL and so on."
If this really was distributed why would you say "and so on".

Take precauctions with your email and don't send hoaxes out which actually causes massive mail server work and fills your mailbox fwith junk.

My 2 cents...

Oh look the sky is also falling!

Im sorry Mitch, I sometimes forget the international flavour of our forum.... in the Hinterlands if you are a Joe Doke aka Doke, you are considered too dumb to breed ... its quite pejorative ( if the intended is smart enough to know what it means ).

This would have more credibility if it DID actually come from an announcement from MS. So far nothing in my rss feeds has even mentioned it. This is where rss comes into its own. You can keep track of thousands of stories without having to visit the sites themselves.

As for opening anonymous email attachments, Id hope everyone is sensible enough to know better. Only open attachments that you're expecting from people you know.

There is no need to contribute to the global spam levels by circulating this.
