Its hard to pick a favorite... it changes according to my mood at the time. But if I had to pick one, I guess I'd say "Pulp Fiction" is my favorite "serious" movie, and maybe "Raising Arizona" as my comedy choice.

Here's a list off the top of my head.

A Tale Of Two Sisters - A Korean horror flick which was later remade and released for the western audience as "The Uninvited". While The Uninvited was a valiant effort, It just seemed to miss the overall feel of the original. Too much was cleared up by the end of the flick and didn't leave too much up to the imagination. The original is truly a scary, sad and unfortunate story.

Fight Club - What else can I say, just a twisted storyline and very good movie.

Goodfellas - Just an all around classic mobster movie

A Bronx Tale - Been a while since I've seen this, but truly a classic.

American Beauty - One of those movies that truly stick with you.

Requiem For A Dream - A truly disturbing flick indeed. This one will stick with you for a very long time.

12 Monkeys - Who could forget Brad Pitt's germ conspiracy theory?

The Lord of The Rings Trilogy, of which I liked Return of The King the best.

Why? The most awesomest story! :) Plus, Peter Jackson's creative license did not destroy the story. For the purpose of putting that epic to film, his creative licence helped the movie move along. (also, i'm referring to the director's extended-cut special editon dvd release)

I never watched the Italian Job how was it?
The original is far better than the newer one, it's one of the classics.

There are so many to choose from that having an outright favourite is difficult to determine.

That Avatar film reminded me of good old Red Indian Weterns. Same thing different planet. It was boring though! Especially in 3D. Yawn!
One last thing. No wonder people download illegal movies when it costs that much to watch a 3D film. Thieving bathplugs...
