Reformat with the Win7 DVD and shutdown the computer in the middle of the format.

I know you won't do that.
I think you need to read more about how to check your computer and learn why it is freezing. Most of the problems with Windows 7 are incorrect drivers that control video cards or motherboard bios not being updated.

Take a look around and do some reading and who knows you just may be the next computer GEEK.

Umm a friend of mine did this once... he opened the CPU and then removed the memory sticks, the HD and I think the power supply cord to the fan. with a lighter he heated the memory terminals (the part where the copper connects with the ports and he did the same to the HD)

Or just pick up a good baseball bat and WHAM! That should do the trick

Could this have anything to do with your 14th bday being Sunday?

I thought you fixed the freezing and blue screens by using hibernate?

Did you ever find out what your BIOS version is? There are a bunch of Updates for your mobo.

Run that Belarc Advisor I uploaded for you to check what version is on there. Your mobo drivers and BIOS updates are on that link from the post in Performance where Jfar helped you update your chipset.

    Here's how to do it:
    • Take your computer to an isolated place
    • Borrow a shotgun if you do not have one
    • Walk about 10 feet away from the computer
    • Aim and shoot

Please notice some more robust computers may need several shots.
