What do you like about the Windows "experience"?

Mac users always rave about their Mac experience in a way that Windows users (or "PC" users) never do, but platform enthusiasm is by no means exclusive to them.
While I tried Linux and had considered buying a Mac, the more I contemplated other possibilities the more I realized that I just really like Windows and see no reason to switch from it, so I guess I can consider myself a Windows enthusiast.

I'm also probably not the only one; so if you are in the same camp as I am, what is it about the Windows experience that you really like?

To clarify: the question is obviously very broad, but there are elements in the whole platform that can be attributed to the "Windows experience". The underlying design philosophies and goals of Microsoft are obviously different than those of Apple (do one thing and do it really well), or Google's (everything should be on the web), or the Unix/open source legacy (command line first, GUI second), and this also affects the whole ecosystem of developers and the products that come out. There are differences related to the realities of market share, and technological problems that are typical to Windows as opposed to the other platforms (and vice versa).
At the end of the day, if you like using Windows then there's a reason for it, and I'd like to hear it.

I'll post my own reasons after I get some replies, just to make sure that people answer from their own perspective.

Like mpcrsc562 said, it's easy to build or upgrade your PC + i like that I can see all files (almost) and full filenames and know where everything is :) A big worry to me is that they try to make windows look and feel more like Mac OS, and putting in automatic "guides" for configuration, like the network in 7

when is the last time you saw a windows snob? there is lots to love about windows mostly comes down to being able to easily upgrade hardware and software compatibility. also reminding mac users that man of the feature they believe windows copied from them actually originated as 3rd party apps made for windows, like the precious OSX dock.
