Yeah, Windows 7 is great, but imagine what Windows 8 will be like

If microsoft holds true to form win 8 may be like vista. Ugh!
Vista wasn't a bad operating system. It was a victim of Microsoft's poor marketing and lazy driver developers.
I agree; but it was still a nightmare regardless.

Vista wasnt bad agreed, but it wasnt exactly great, to me, Vista felt a little unfinished, almost like they went "Ok its been 5 years, profits are dropping, we need to get an OS out there, so lets package up what we've got, and we'll sort out the rest in service Packs, and we'll call it Vista.... yeah Vista"

with windows 8 we will most likely get a lot of highly touted features to excite us, then since it's MS they will take about half of them away never to be heard from again.... win fs anyone?

    So far so good.
Anyone else remember the XP launch? We'll see if 7's longevity can stay the course. The new angle for me this time around is a 64 bit OS. Luck would have GSkill still producing very popular - good ram I went with. May decide to go with 8 gigs and see if x64 pays off in that area.

MS has already said they cannot allow another OS to last as long as xp did.
