Must be the same one i tried years ago, as it stressed ME to the max.
Then when asking questions on a linux forum, got told RTFM.
Now i just stick to windows.
It's unfortunate that some Linux users can be anti-social and abrasive. They don't realize that's what turns a lot of people off of Linux but I don't think they care.
I myself have been using Linux Mint 9 for about a month. It's by far the easiest Linux distro to use. Everything works directly out of the box from initial install. Most of the community members there are nice as well (with the exception of a few that are open source fanatics and therefore anti-Microsoft).
Thanks for this link, I enjoy linux and may give this a try as I just recently built a computer and want to stress test it. I'm sorry to hear you had bad help on the forums with linux. I must admit some linux distros have really poor assistance. I personally use Gentoo (which is not for beginner linux users) and I always have awesome help on the forums. But that also may be because again not many new linux users start with Gentoo.
Yes. They're the ones who call it Win-doze and think they are clever, without realising they are unimaginative and boring.
Helpwise for beginners, you can't beat the support for ubuntu.
There will always be Linux elitists, but Ubuntu, Mint and even, openSuse have many who are prepared to help linux 'noobs' in comparison to some other distros.
Actually, Ubuntu forums were worse a couple years ago. I was trying out openSUSE and went there for help. I wash insulted for using both Windows Vista and openSUSE.
Because the bulk of Linux users use Ubuntu that means that most of them are the open source/anti-Microsoft fanatics.
