I'm surprised my home town made the top 5. Didn't stop me from moving
out to a bedroom community though.

True. But none are my cities
Mine's not there either (but I am a Sydney-sider at heart)

No.You know everyone from the west hates #4.
Seriously just wanted a smaller town feel, yet
close to the amenities. Also don't miss the traffic.

My city is in the top 7 (and the top 10s are within driving distances, except #10), and i don't think it's livable. If i have money i would live in Bankok or somewhere similar. Cheap food and lots of fun.

Public transport bumped Brisbane off the list.

Which has been negatively affected in part due to most of the reasons I mentioned

More people > more road usage > more congestion > more people seeking viable travel alternatives = Overall decline in a public transport system ill-equipped to deal to deal with a rapid influx of new arrivals.

I'm with smarteyeball... Queensland was much better before the rest of Australia decided to join the party

I think Cairns is terrifically liveable if you take away the heat, humidity, crocs, jellyfish, dengue ridden mosquitoes... Oh wait, what were we talking about again????

Just leave the weed, fake tits and business cards telling you are a producer in California, then go and buy short khaki trousers, sleeveless t-shirt and a couple sizes too big checkered denim shirt. Add a four gallon stetson, and you are ready to go
